Ultimatum

It’s January 1991, on the eve of the first Gulf War, and Israel is bracing to withstand Saddam Hussein’s promised onslaught of chemical and biological warfare. Against this backdrop, Director Alain Tasma paints an intimate portrait of three couples struggling to cope as the nation tries not to panic. When Scud missiles threaten Jerusalem, one French couple’s relationship begins to come apart, an Israeli couple prepares for childbirth, and a gay couple reunites. Adapted from Valerie Zenatti’s 2006 novel, ULTIMATUM features strong performances from Israeli movie star Lior Askenazai (WALK ON WATER, ELI AND BEN) as an expectant father, the stunning Miryam Zohar (SCHWARTZ DYNASTY) as a traumatized Holocaust survivor and French heartthrob Gaspard Ulliel as a man broken at his core.
